As of October 31, 2023, France had 111,209 publicly accessible charging points, reflecting a year-over-year increase of +47%. This barometer is compiled by Avere-France and the Ministry of Energy Transition based on Gireve’s data.
In October, a significant milestone was achieved with 110,000 publicly accessible charging points. Furthermore, France surpassed the total number of installations for the entire year of 2022 in the current quarter. It’s noteworthy that a slight slowdown in new installations was observed after a period of growth during the summer. For the first time in 2023, the 12-month growth rate fell below 50%, reaching 47%. Concurrently, the evolution of charging points exceeding 150 kWh is remarkable, having tripled in the last 12 months. This trend is affirmed by the growth in installed power capacity in France, which consistently increased throughout the quarter (3.20% in August, 4.98% in September, 6.42% in October).
