Omega-X project: enabling secure data sharing
What is the Omega-X project?
Since May 2022, Gireve, EDF, Worldgrid, Trialog, and semantic experts have been working together within OMEGA-X to improve the integration of EVs into the energy system and enhance the charging experience across Europe.
The project focuses on reducing range anxiety, simplifying charging access, and optimizing data exchanges between mobility service providers and charging operators. By developing a unified booking system and introducing an Energy Data Space for secure, real-time data sharing, OMEGA-X aims to make electromobility more efficient, reliable, and sustainable.
EV charging service booking
Enable EV drivers to reserve charging spots across multiple networks, ensuring reliable access wherever they travel. This reduces range anxiety and improves the overall charging experience.
Data-Driven Grid Optimization
Leverage a European energy data space to provide grid operators with real-time insights on charging demand, helping to optimize congestion management, grid reinforcement, and flexibility services.
Enhanced Electromobility Integration
Enhance interoperability between charging networks, Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) providers, and energy stakeholders, enabling smarter charging, flexibility aggregation, and green energy matching.
