New booking use cases for EV Charging have been translated into an OCPI-Protocol module. This module is now available under OCPI v2.3 and the upcoming 3.0! This is a key step for the development of the HDV infrastructure. In this sector, the need for planned charging sessions is essential to make the transition possible. Therefore, by offering a standardized approach, the EV Roaming Foundation helps scale up the ecosystem. It also ensures seamless exchanges of information.
As an active member of the EVRF, Gireve has contributed to the development of the module. This work took place inside a dedicated working group of the EV Roaming Foundation.
“The HDV market is growing fast. We need a flexible and evolutive framework to ensure that these new needs will be met. With the EVRF, we are preparing the ecosystem for a massive deployment of electric vehicles and trucks. However, the scale-up can only happen if systems are connected. They must also exchange the necessary information, through collaborative work on standards. We are very excited about the release of the booking module. We also look forward to working on smart charging use cases.” – Jean-Marc Rives, CTO, Gireve
