As of May 31, 2024, France had 133,053 charging points open to the public, representing a 33% increase in their number in one year. This barometer is produced by Avere-France and the French Ministry of Ecological Transition, based on data from Gireve.
Despite a month in France with many bridges, May was the second most prolific month of 2024, with 3,528 new installations (+2.72%). As a result, the French network counted 133,053 charging points on May 31, 2024. Another milestone was reached – 5 MW of installed capacity – putting us well ahead of Europe’s AFIR obligations (+ 258%). For the past year, we’ve been producing price indicators, and this barometer is an opportunity to take stock. This indicator shows the B2B price paid by the mobility operator to the charging station operator for roaming charging. In one year, this price for normal charging (AC) averaged €0.35 (€0.36 in May); for fast charging (DC), the average was €0.36 over twelve months, with a two-stage trend: first a drop until November 2023, then an increase (€0.39 in May).
