As of March 31st, there were 57,732 public charging points in France according to the joint barometer of Avere-France and the Ministry of Ecological Transition, based on GIREVE’s database. This represents an increase of 54% over the last year.
Together with the increase of charging points, we noticed a rise of EV sales by 40% over the first trimester of 2022. Though we saw a decrease of the ratio “number of EV per charging point” in 2020, with 10.32 EV per charging point, the situation is getting better. As of March 31st, there are 9.68 EV per charging point. This shows that charging networks installation is finally going faster than EV sales. – Cécile Goubet, Déléguée Générale de l’Avere-France
