GIREVE is a key digital platform for e-mobility created in 2013 by leading players in electric mobility : Renault, CNR, la Caisse des Dépôts, EDF et Enedis.
“Electricity has the potential to increase the energy efficiency of road vehicles and contribute to a CO2 reduction in transport. It is a power source that is indispensable for the deployment of electric vehicles… which can contribute to improving air quality and reducing noise in urban/suburban agglomerations and other densely populated areas”. (AFI Directive 2014/94/UE).
Today, GIREVE is contributing to building an open market for electric mobility services, in order to support the development of this type of sustainable mobility. In the near future, when electric mobility goes mainstream, smart charging technologies will be key to ensuring the stability of the electricity grid. Such technologies make real-time data exchange between the range of actors even more essential.
GIREVE is already involved in this second stage of the development of the ecosystem, with the study and development of cutting-edge services to facilitate the energy transition.
